Late fees for filing GSTR-4 for FY 2021-22 waived from 01.05.2022 to 30.06.2022
As per Notification No. 07/2022 – Central Tax (dated 26 May 2022), the CBIC made changes to the earlier Notification No. 73/2017 – Central Tax (29 December 2017). Through this update, the government provided relief by waiving late fees on the filing of Form GSTR-4, the quarterly return for taxpayers under the composition scheme, specifically for FY 2021–22 if filed during the period 1 May 2022 to 30 June 2022.
📢 Important: If you're a composition taxpayer and missed filing GSTR-4 for FY 2021-22, this waiver saved you from late fees. Ensure your filing is done before the deadline to avoid future penalties.
