Why I Started Learn with Amrut – Real Mistakes, Real Learning, Real Mission
📌 TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read)
- I have 18 years of experience in accounting and automation.
- For 15 years, I followed an orthodox saving method: only RD and FD.
- I repaid a loan taken by someone else without checking my financial health.
- I purchased a house without planning its long-term impact.
- These regrets led me to start Learn with Amrut — to help others avoid the same mistakes.
- Everything I share is based on real experiences, not copied content.
For years, I believed I was financially responsible.
With over 18 years of experience in accounting, Excel automation, and financial control, I had the professional skills most people depend on. But when it came to personal finance, I followed the same path most middle-class Indians still believe in:
- ✅ Regular Recurring Deposits (RD)
- ✅ Fixed Deposits (FD)
- ❌ No Mutual Funds
- ❌ No Second Income Planning
- ❌ No Wealth Mindset
💔 A Mistake I Didn’t Realise Until Later
For 15 years, I saved sincerely — but my savings never grew fast enough.
Why? Because I never understood inflation, risk vs reward, or the need to build wealth.
The real turning point came when I repaid a loan taken by someone else, using my own savings — without considering the impact on my own financial health. It was an emotional decision, not a strategic one. I didn’t calculate, I didn’t plan — I just acted.
Later, I also purchased a house — again, without applying financial logic. I didn’t consider EMIs, opportunity cost, or flexibility. These were emotional decisions made with good intention, but they left long-term limitations.
🎯 The Turning Point
I realised:
Being financially disciplined is not enough.
We need to be financially aware, strategic, and open to learning — even after years of experience.
That’s why I created Learn with Amrut — not to give gyaan, not to repeat theory, but to share real-life financial lessons I wish someone had taught me earlier.
